Grading Supervisor

Job Description:

We are looking to hire a Grading Supervisor to manage our in-field crews with the ability to establish and maintain business relationships with customer-building supervisors and purchasing managers.

Responsibilities:
The candidate should have the following skill set:

--- Manage crew schedules and assess tasks ahead of schedule to ensure job readiness
--- Maintain and encourage a safety-first atmosphere in line with EcoSouth's best practices
--- Take ownership of assigned work sites and lead operational decisions within those communities
--- Work with crews to provide a high-quality finished product that meets customer and industry standards
--- Supervise and ensure the proper usage and day-to-day maintenance of heavy equipment
--- The ability to communicate in Spanish is preferred
--- Knowledge of Grading is preferred but not necessary

Qualifications:
Skills Required:
--- Proven experience as a Supervisor or similar role in the construction industry
--- Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and materials
--- Excellent communication and leadership skills
--- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
--- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety protocols
--- Ability to supervise and motivate a diverse team of workers

--- Demonstrates ability to follow specific instructions and directions
--- Demonstrate ability to use and operate hand tools, including reading a tape measure and using a hammer
--- Demonstrate ability to stack material properly
--- Must be able to work in a fast-paced team environment, as well as work alone
--- Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English effectively
--- Must be able to comply with OSHA requirements and standards to wear all applicable PPE properly


Physical Requirements:
--- Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull, maximum lift - 100 lbs.; frequently lift/carry - up to 50 lbs
--- Must be able to see within a normal range of vision with or without corrective lenses
--- Must be able to hear running machinery
--- Must be able to use hands, wrists, and fingers repetitively
--- Must have exceptional eye-hand coordination
--- Must regularly be able to squat, bend, twist, and stand
--- Must be able to walk around regularly using steps occasionally
